# Recommended Temperatures for Voltic Smart Room Control

> Configure optimal temperatures in summer and winter to balance guest comfort and energy efficiency in your hotel.

Proper temperature configuration is essential to balance guest comfort with energy efficiency. This page lists the recommended ranges for each season and their impact on consumption.

## Recommended temperatures

| Season           | Recommended temperature |
| ---------------- | ----------------------- |
| Summer (cooling) | 24°C - 26°C             |
| Winter (heating) | 21°C - 23°C             |

### Cooling (summer)

The range of **24°C to 26°C** provides thermal comfort without generating unnecessary consumption.

<Warning>
  Every 1°C below 24°C can increase energy consumption by approximately **6% to 8%**.
</Warning>

### Heating (winter)

The range of **21°C to 23°C** is optimal. Temperatures above 23-24°C can lead to higher energy consumption, a sensation of an overly dry environment, and lower system efficiency.

## Impact on energy consumption

Correct system operation can generate significant improvements in hotel energy efficiency.

| Action                     | Impact                             |
| -------------------------- | ---------------------------------- |
| Use of ECO mode | Reduces unnecessary HVAC operation |
| Appropriate temperatures | Lowers energy consumption |
| Window control | Prevents thermal losses |
| Automatic presence control | Optimizes system operation |

Hotels that operate the Voltic system correctly can achieve **energy savings of up to 30% in rooms**.

## Key recommendations

* Prioritize **ECO mode** as the standard configuration when the room is unoccupied
* Use **COMFORT mode** in specific rooms when necessary
* Keep setpoint temperatures within the recommended ranges
* Periodically review alerts and system status at [app.voltic.es](https://app.voltic.es)
* Avoid manipulating or blocking sensors
